# Balance & Account APIs

**Account APIs** provide real-time visibility into the balances and financial positions of merchant accounts held within the Global Collections platform, across all supported currencies and account types.

By integrating with these APIs, organizations can:

* **Monitor account balances in real time:** Query the total balance, available balance, and frozen amount for any currency and account type (fund, virtual credit card, or refund), enabling accurate liquidity tracking and cash-flow management.

In essence, **Account APIs** empower you to stay informed of your financial position at any point in time, giving your operations team and automated systems the data they need to make timely decisions around payouts, collections, and currency conversions.
